Allison JohnsonHappy to be here with the Self-Realization Fellowship of the greater Washington DC region since my 1995 discovery of Sri Paramahansa Yogananda and his pivotal book, The Autobiography of a Yogi. I am so grateful for you to join me for the next levels of greater consciousness and unity.

Joy M. TylerMy sanity in this world of delusion and craziness. I have been a member of SRF for about 15 years now and it has saved my life on every level! I originally joined at their location in Northern California, formerly known as the Richmond Temple and spent all of my years growing and learning as a person in ways unimaginable. The members of the temple (relocated and now called the Berkely temple) are just as close to me as my blood relatives and have helped me through the best of times and the worst of times in my life. Even though I recently left the Bay Area I will always be a member of that Temple. Now that I primarily attend this location, the love and support continues with temples in the Bay Area that i have all worshiped with over the many years, as well as with members at their Los Angles locations. The members here have also welcomed me with open arms and the new connections that I make will start to solidify naturally on its own. The best thing about this temple is that it allows me to continue to connect to the teachings of Yogananda on a visceral level versus trying to follow the path on my own at home where I felt isolated. Having others to worship with essential to the practice for me and keeps the teachings alive! Folks were immediately friendly and I already knew one or two from attending convocations of the past 12 years. Worshipping here has made my assimilation back east a lot more tolerable. These teachings have helped me through the best of times in my life and certainly the worst and I will continue to practice Faithfully until the day I leave this physical world. The monastics as well as the lay members are a Godsend to me and I will honor them all forever. Om, Peace, Amen.
