Mike FreseParkway's not the biggest liquor store, but it is a great place. Their wine selection is skewed toward lower prices, but there are some from better ACA's, including Josh Cellars Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir that will be fine with Julia's Boeuf Bourgingnon. The liquor selection is broad and very good, though I wasn't in the market for that -- much. They did have the half pint bottle of Jack -- in plastic -- that I needed to replace the one I lost which I used to carry some whiskey or whisky to pour one when I'm in a hotel without a bar. Ask for help, or rather accept it when it's offered, as it almost certainly will be. The Alamos Malbec I wanted -- Hey, I was looking for pizza wine -- was squirreled away in almost the bottom box in a stack, which no one but the squirrel would have known about. I bet the beer selection is similar. You'll find what you want. With help, perhaps. I don't buy wine from walk-in retailers much, as I far prefer to order direct from the vineyard or email order from a couple of retailers in California. But when I do, I like the kind of service I got at Parkland.
