Ingyin Aung 4 out of 5 stars★★★★☆Came here after my sisters graduation. It was great. Our server was very nice. Location is very convenient with free parking at the hotel. Lots of places to take photos if you wanted as well. Everyone really enjoyed the food. They are mainly breakfast food but also had a decent amount of dinner items. I wish the wings had more old bay flavor to it. My steak was also a tad overcooked. I asked for medium, it was much closer to well done. But overall, I would come here again.

Just in the right place 4 out of 5 stars★★★★☆I was in the area and found Iron Rooster through Google recommendations. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant since I was dining alone. Christian provided excellent service and was very attentive throughout my visit. The drink was delicious, and I ordered the French Toast Tenders with house fries. The fries were a bit over-seasoned for my taste, but the French toast and tenders were very good. Overall, a nice experience.

Maura D 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★Alisha provided truly outstanding service! She went above and beyond to accommodate my special request for an oil and vinegar dressing with my Cobb salad, going back and forth to make sure everything was just right. Her patience, kindness, and willingness to help did not go unnoticed, and I’m so appreciative of her effort. She made our dining experience even more enjoyable, and we totally enjoyed our meal. Thank you, Alisha, for such wonderful service!

Dr. Kyle Turman 3 out of 5 stars★★★☆☆Alright cousins… I made my way into Iron Rooster with my Canton expectations sitting high and seasoned. What I received instead was a more subdued, dimly lit experience, intimate, yes, but giving “brunch with a secret” rather than “sun-kissed indulgence.” And no reservations before 3pm? Oh, so we’re just out here trusting fate and hunger. Noted. Let’s begin where all good decisions start, the cocktails. The strawberry lemon crush arrived light, effervescent, gently sweet, like it didn’t want to offend anybody at the table. Now the dragon fruit margarita… cousins… that one gave “artisan-adjacent.” You know, like it once had a dream of being handcrafted but got picked up along the way. It sipped, but it did not sing. Now to the plate, where things tried to restore my faith. The steak was beautifully tender, carrying a modest sear, seasoned with restraint but intention, allowing the natural richness to speak. A quiet luxury. The pancakes, however, leaned into their “clean eating era,” soft, yes, but with a whisper of restraint, like they were watching their figure. Those potatoes? Oh, they understood the assignment. Golden, lightly crisped edges with a tender interior, kissed with herbs, delivering that comforting, rustic elegance you expect from a brunch that knows itself. Now cousins… let’s discuss these so-called tenders. Why were they fried like they had unresolved anger? Deep, aggressive crunch, the kind that makes you question your dental insurance. Thankfully, the seasoning stepped in like a good lawyer and defended the case just enough to keep them on the table. And then… the shrimp and grits. Flavor profile? Present, creamy, seasoned with intention. But texture? Oh no. This was less “shrimp and grits” and more “shrimp in a liquidity situation.” Those shrimp were so saturated they abandoned all structural integrity, slipping through the fork like they had no loyalty to the dish. Delicious chaos. Overall, cousins, we’re sitting at a respectable 3.5. Not a disaster, not a revelation, but a solid middle ground where effort meets inconsistency. Now let me give credit where it is absolutely due, the customer service. Because baby, it was busy, it was active, it was borderline chaotic, and they still showed up with grace, attentiveness, and patience. And for that alone… they deserve a moment of silence, because it could not have been me.

Charles Davis 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★Pretty good breakfast place. We got the crab dip as an appetizer and it was great. I got the Nutella banana pancakes. The 2 people I was with got the fruit French toast and a burger with grits. They both liked their food. Overall, decent place, service was alright but it was clear our Server was very rushing since it was busy. Would recommend this place if you’re near UMD.
