Scott ViningMy wife and I had a great evening at GrillMarx Steakhouse & Raw Bar while visiting for our son’s accepted students event at UMD. We decided to sit at the bar for dinner and cocktails, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. Erin, our bartender, made fantastic cocktails and was a big part of what made the night so enjoyable. She was friendly, engaging, and clearly takes pride in what she does. For dinner, I ordered the rainbow trout and my wife had the blue cheese steak salad. Both dishes were excellent—fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. What really elevated the evening, though, was the conversation. Erin introduced us to Dayton and Matt, who both attend UMD, and they were incredibly helpful in sharing their experiences and giving us great insight about the school for our son, who is here for accepted students day. Great food, excellent cocktails, and genuinely welcoming people made for a memorable night. 🍸🐟

Kenny TThe food was tasty and well presented. Nice atmosphere and very pleasant experience. I was especially impressed by our server Mimi, she was the best. Extremely pleasant, helpful with the menu, and made me the best Iced Tea that I've had in a long time. If you visit, you must request to be seated in her section. She made the experience better. 4.5 out of 5

Adiam GebrehiwotWent to grab a bite to eat after work with some coworkers. Two of us decided to split the avocado chicken sandwich because we weren't very hungry and the happy hour menu is not available at tables. We told the server we were sharing but didn't ask for them to do anything special. They cut the sandwich in half and put it on two different plates with half the fries. We thought this was super nice of them to do. Come to find out, they charged us an extra $2.50 each because we shared the sandwich - which was just an ok sandwich, nothing crazy. The server was also a little hard to get ahold of when some of us were trying to get our checks to leave. Will not be going back here again.

Krobi Ababio-GyebiFood was amazing. The steak so very soft and flavorful. And the burger was good too. The crème brûlée was my favorite 10/10. Service was very fast and attentive as well. Essi is an awesome server. Would definitely come back again. This location is more laid back in dress code than Columbia.
