Dan TI am writing a review based on my personal experience in the past year (2023-2024) under the new mayor administration. There seems to be beneficial improvements that have recently come to College Park. The current mayor emails residents that he knows of with details to events and city meetings that pertain to the specific neighborhoods that the residents live in. I would like to commend mayor Kabir for his thoughtful but non-intrusive participation in residents and home owners affairs. Mayor Kabir in my opinion has gone above and beyond as mayor and has compensated for the controversy of the previous administration. While there is undoubtedly a focus on ticketing of minor non-obtrusive parking offenses for the purpose of gaining city funds, I think that the city is actively making efforts to improve for the better and I would like to share my pleasure with living in the city of College Park and the active effort that the city leadership has made to improve the quality of life for residents. Some of these improvements include the adding of sidewalks on streets that did not previously include them and the general improvement of central College Park. Sidewalks were redone on uneven pieces within my neighborhood and city services have been quick to respond to anything that has been an issue. I did not expect to live in College Park, Maryland for an extended period of time but I am finding myself very happy with the area as of late.
